Still Alive – a lively, interactive and welcoming photography exhibition is open until June 6th in the Upper Gallery Space on Bridewell Island, a stunning glass roof gallery space in Bristol city centre.
Five up and coming Bristol photographers from NEAT Studios in the old police station, Bridewell Island, Bristol show an exciting mix of new work as part of Bristol Festival of Photography.
From experimental photography skilfully hand printed in their darkrooms converted from old police cells, to large scale digital prints beautifully framed in old sash windows, to the mysteriously shrouded all-natural photosynthesis prints on tropical leaves.
Come and see just how alive traditional and alternative photography still is, and what a cauldron of creativity these old cells have become! Have a glass of juice with us, sit in a deckchair and browse one of our books, or peer under the blackout curtains to see the photosynthesis prints. Or maybe join us for Workshop Wednesdays or some live music and a picture show this Friday night?
A creative sanctuary in the heart of the city.
