Hi everyone, I’m a London-based photographer and designer, focusing on weddings, engagements, lifestyle, product and travel shoots. Over the years I’ve had the fortune to run photography shoots for some of the biggest brands in the world, whilst last year saw my photography iPhone app featured in the printed version of .net Magazine.
I’m a passionate film photographer, often snapping my way around the globe with my beloved Hasselblad 503cx and a backpack full of 120 negative film. I shoot the majority of my professional work digitally but try as best as I can to emulate my preferred film, Portra in post-production. Shooting film alongside digital really helped me progress as a photographer, learning how to over-expose, how to meter for shadows and how the plethora of films need to be shot differently.
Alongside my photography I’m an interface designer specialising in progressively enhanced, responsive, mobile-first design for both the web and mobile apps. I studied Interactive Design at university and kept photography as a hobby while I studied, but while travelling between years I realised my true passion and ended up with a career in product photography after graduating. Ironically I ended up doing a lot of shoots for creative agencies who then got me on board as a web designer/developer. The two jobs go really well together!
As well as my own site I’ve created digital experiences for fortune 500 companies, but I find nothing more exciting than helping small companies with their creative needs and watching them grow as a result. The design side of my work is also a great door opener for future photography work as a lot of small companies don’t have a lot of content to go in their new sites.
So that’s me in a nutshell. Say hello, I’m quite friendly.
