My Name is Nick – I’m like you. I take photographs. I don’t plan too much; I often look at other people images (probably yours!) and get ideas… That’s the way I roll, it’s quite simple really.
My love affair with photography began on the 4th of September 2009 when I got my first and most inspiring piece of photography kit… the IPhone 3gs. I’m not old school, put it that way. With an IPhone 3gs I had a whole 3 megapixels of camera in my pocket at all times so I started a 365. That was it for me – I was hooked. In that year I learnt and learnt. I used apps to develop ways of editing my images whilst looking and learning about the basics.
The following two years have flown by – two completed 52 week projects later and I have started a third, not to mention a 35 strangers at 35mm project. I gave everything a go in the last three years from the Droste method, stranger photography, light trails, landscapes. I consider myself a photography jack of all trades, master of none – but I am working on it.
I’m not sure if I have a style. I would like to think that the people who look at my photography don’t know what is coming next, and that’s the way I would like to keep it, portraits, landscapes, still life, strangers! What next… I don’t know and neither do you, but that’s what keeps things interesting.
I am influenced by a lot of different people – Chris Blizzard and Jamie Torrance on Flickr both have very different styles and in good time I would like to learn to work how they both work – Chris with his Gig photography and Jamie with his studio work.
I hope to one day make a few quid from my photography. I am not looking to retire from it but if I could create an image that people would like in their home, on a tee shirt or on a laptop – then I will have done alright.

This is a great way to find amazing photographers. A very nice piece indeed. Concise and communicative.
Well done Nick.
Well done Seven by Five.
