As a little girl running around with pig tails Rosalba used to tip toe through her mother’s garden with a Polaroid camera in hand that was given to her by her father. She has been capturing images since that very day.
She thanks her dad for nurturing her gift of photography at such an early age. Soon after her children were born she turned her passion of photography into a business. With a keen eye for the details and her calm, patient approach she is dedicated to creating cherished beautiful imagery.
Rosalba graduated with a double major in Marketing and Photography and has worked for many award winning advertising agencies such as Young & Rubicam and Leo Burnett as a photo producer. She won Kodak Photo of the Day, which Kodak described her image as “charming”. As well as National Geographic. She has published editorial work in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Daily Harold, Pioneer Press and The Lake Forest Journal.
Rosalba gathers her inspiration from every day life with her family. When her children came into her life something special happened…the love of photography blossomed and her eagerness to capture those brief, cherished moments became a passion.
With babies and kids, every little moment matters, as they are special gifts. Their giggles, their frowns, funny faces, the twinkle in a child’s eyes, unexpected moments and all the wonderful things they do these are the moments that should be remembered forever.
Childhood is a short season and to for Rosalba to capture those quick moments in time for families is the most gratifying experience. She is thankful to all of the families who hired and trusted her to capture wonderful memories. She could not imagine doing anything else other than doing what she loves…capturing timeless moments for her clients.

Child photography is so common that it must be hard to be as creative as Rosalba. Her pictures are crisp, appropriate and seem to show the true spirit of children. They’re great!

My hat’s off to you, Rosalba. Children are at once both the hardest and the greatest thing you can try to photograph. The photographs that result are so rewarding when everything finally clicks. I envy those that like doing portraiture and do it well as my inclinations lie elsewhere.
As Martin says, you can’t help but smile at these two pictures.
